Taco bake and green beans with bacon

29 Nov

Taco meat topped with retried beans and covered in cheese, baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, with a side of guacamole. Green beans, bacon, and chopped onions with fresh pepper, in a pressure cooker for 5 mins. Dinner!

Um. For two sleevers maybe. I couldn’t finish it. But very yummy!

Sleeve capacity at 15 Months

22 Nov

As long as I eat protein first, my sleeve still works. Check out my before and after. I ate one bite of the rice, mainly just the salmon and two spears of asparagus. Still can’t hold a lot of protein.

Cake on the other hand….

Mmm Mmm. I have been in Europe for 12 days for work. This was probably one of the best meals I had.

This world was not made for us

27 Aug

Or at the very least, American restaurants can’t deal with us. I’m at the airport wanting healthy food.

A kids quesadilla at Qdobo had 430 calories and 33 gms of carbs. A kids one! Not happening.

So TGIF to go will sell me a chicken salad sandwich for $10 (!) and I will throw away the bread. But there is also no way in their system to refuse the fries. Seriously. I MUST take the fries. I explained I would just be throwing them in the trash. The checkout girl looked at me like she couldn’t care less and said, there’s no way for me to order it without fries.

So while children starve, I will be dumping a whole order of sweet potato fries and two thick pieces of bread into the trash. Sucks.

Stuck at the airport

17 Aug

Trying to get to Chicago tonight. Stuck in the airport but I found some great food at Pappasitos. I ordered the crab cake appetizer with two crab cakes. It had a wonderful sauce, extra crab meat, and capers. And of course I couldn’t finish it. I had them bring me a soup container so it wouldn’t spill and took it with me. 2 hours later, I’m munching on it again. I just love being able to eat good food that’s high protein, and have it be good for me.

And to think we worry that we will no longer enjoy our food. Look at that deliciousness!
